True Coffees – Breaking traditions in the coffee industry
Why Now?
The combination of high capital costs, the longest-ever inversion of the ICE coffee futures curve, and prices reaching historic records creates a unique environment where producers have the opportunity to move up the supply chain and, for the first time, establish direct commercial relationships with the international industry for the following reasons:
Since 2018 to 2024 the growth of global coffee consumption has outpaced production in about 4% YOY. While regulatory stocks levels are at historic lows, covering less than 2 months of consumption.
3-4x increase in working capital needed to maintain volumes (2020 vs. 2024).
Coffee consumption is increasing worldwide. According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee consumption is expected to reach 178 million bags in 2024, with demand continuing to outpace supply. This growing demand, combined with supply chain challenges, creates an opportunity for producers to connect directly with buyers and secure better market access and pricing. True Coffees is here to bridge that gap, ensuring that producers find the right buyers while meeting the industry’s growing needs.
Caused by the accumulated price increases over the last 3 years, this inversion has deeply changed the operational structures of trades that used to carry large volumes of unsold stock. Previously, with a positive curve, the rollovers of sold contracts related to owned stock generated a premium. This premium offsets the carrying cost (interest on working capital + storage and insurance costs). With the curve now negative, the rollovers generate losses which, combined with carrying costs, have made the maintenance of unsold stock completely unfeasible.
Gross revenue estimated at over USD 15 billion in 2025. 2.2 million hectares of coffee planted. The country with the greatest diversity in coffee quality among producers.
Over 300,000 producers, with around 6% (approximately 20,000), accounting for more than 50% of total production, having the scale and strength to export their coffee directly.
The world’s largest coffee producer, with 40% market share, 50% more than second-place Vietnam, and five times larger than Colombia, in third.
Our goal is to convert 10% of this revenue to the direct export model over a period of 7 years by creating a platform that allows not only producers and industries to transact but also all other participants such as exporters and importers, definitively democratizing access and commercialization of the product.
To achieve this goal, it will be necessary to sell
approximately 2 million bags—3% of national production—and involve around 2,000 participants at both ends.
At True Coffees, we go beyond transactions—we create meaningful connections between coffee growers and businesses. Our platform is built on the principles of transparency, sustainability, and trust, ensuring that every cup of coffee tells a story of care, quality, and community.
The client is the producer and the industry that understands the value that can be generated through this direct, multilateral access—those who are willing to step out of their comfort zone and contribute to something that will be transformative and truly capable of delivering value to the two main agents of this chain.
Whether you are a roaster or a grower, True Coffees empowers you to take control of your coffee journey. Through direct connections, build meaningful relationships, and ensure consistent quality in every cup.
